U.S. News & World Report Names The Stamford Ambulatory Surgical Center Best Ambulatory Surgery Center For Third Straight Year

Stamford – April 16, 2026 – The Stamford Ambulatory Surgical Center has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report among the 2026 Best Ambulatory Surgery Centers for Orthopedics and Spine. This distinction marks the third consecutive year the center has earned this recognition, making it the only ambulatory surgery center in Connecticut to be honored all three years since the ratings debuted.
 
U.S. News partnered with CareJourney, a healthcare analytics firm, to offer Best Ambulatory Surgery Centers, a vetted, data-informed resource for those seeking outpatient surgical care. U.S. News rated nearly 5,000 surgery centers on several criteria, including how successfully they avoided complications, ER visits, unplanned hospitalizations and other undesirable outcomes, patient outcomes, and more. Ambulatory Surgery Centers were evaluated in four separate specialty areas, including Orthopedics and Spine, where over 400,000 patients received care. Surgery centers could not opt out of being evaluated.
