About
Gerard Marciano, MD, is a fellowship-trained orthopedic foot and ankle surgeon specializing in the comprehensive surgical and non-surgical treatment of foot and ankle injuries and conditions. He cares for patients with a wide range of disorders, including fractures, arthritis, tendon and ligament injuries, Achilles disorders, bunions, hammertoes, flatfoot, sports injuries, and other complex foot and ankle conditions. His goal is to relieve pain, restore function, and help patients safely return to the activities they enjoy.
Committed to delivering personalized care, Dr. Marciano works closely with each patient to develop an individualized treatment plan based on their unique goals and lifestyle. He emphasizes conservative treatment whenever appropriate, including physical therapy, medications, bracing, and injections. When surgery is necessary, he offers advanced procedures ranging from minimally invasive techniques and arthroscopy to complex reconstructive surgery, fracture fixation, tendon repairs, and total ankle replacement.
After earning his Doctor of Medicine from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, Dr. Marciano completed his orthopedic surgery residency at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, where he also served as a postdoctoral research fellow at Columbia Irving Medical Center. He further advanced his expertise through a prestigious Foot and Ankle Surgery Fellowship at the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) in New York City, one of the nation’s leading orthopedic institutions.
Dr. Marciano is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), the American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society (AOFAS), and the Orthopaedic Trauma Association (OTA).
