Distance Runner Reclaims His Stride Thanks to Dr. Sethi and ONS

In January 2024, Dr. Sethi gave me my life back… I had suffered a freak accident which saw a blade and impact trauma completely severed my left patellar tendon just below my knee cap. As a long distance and marathon runner, not having the ability to walk or even lift my left leg was absolutely devastating. Prior to the actual surgery, I was not concerned with distance running so much as I was concern about walking again. Dr. Sethi knew the importance of restoring my passion and made a commitment to helping me return to where I once was.

While I can go on-and-on about how immaculate, timely, and professional the facilities, operating room, and recovery was, I think it is more important to highlight the entire staff, from check-in, to X-ray techs, to pre- and post-op check-ins, and to Dr. Sethi specifically, were incredible.
 
When this injury first occurred I was at a loss for how to proceed – nothing like this had ever happened to me before, I have never even broken a bone. ONS and Dr. Sethi’s confidence and assurance that they would do everything in their power to restore me back to where I once was, and to trust their process, was all I needed. I do note, while they did their part, it was also up to me to maintain rigorous rehabilitation and to strive to reach the goals I wanted on the foundation they provided.

I have since been able to log over 450 miles running on my repaired knee and have not had any issue whatsoever. As of now, my knee is most definitely not my limiting factor and because of the stellar work by Dr. Sethi and his team, I hope to be running sub-3 hour marathons within the year. I can not thank or recommend ONS enough for their professionalism, dedication, and ability to get me back on my feet. The past year has been a journey but one that is now behind me.
