FAQs

Do most patients who visit ONS need surgery?

Fewer than 10% of patients treated at the ONS Center require surgery. Most conditions are resolved through a combination of medication, physical therapy and other treatments.

Will I always see the same doctor at ONS?

As an ONS patient, you will be seen and treated by a doctor with the sub-specialty expertise best suited to treat your condition. If you require surgery, your doctor will be the one who performs your surgery and follows you through recovery and rehabilitation.

How can I have a prescription refilled?

Prescription refills should be made 2-3 days before your last dose. Refills can only be provided by calling weekdays between 8:30 AM and 3:00 PM. Refill requests can also be left on the ONS automated telephone system at 203-869-1145.

What should I do in case I have an emergency after office hours?

If you have a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest hospital emergency room. Be sure to give the name of your physician from ONS, so that the hospital emergency physician can contact us about your condition.
