Knee and Hip Joint Replacement
Hip Arthroscopy
General Orthopedics
Dr. Ennis is Fellowship-trained in adult reconstructive surgery and specializes in hip and knee replacement, hip arthroscopy, complex revision arthroplasty of the hip and knee and treatment of complications from hip fractures. He is also among the first orthopaedic surgeons in the New York metropolitan region to be trained in computer-assisted surgery for total knee and hip replacement., a groundbreaking technique that uses computerized navigation to improve the accuracy of joint replacement surgery.
After completing undergraduate studies at Yale University and post-baccalaureate pre-medical studies at Harvard University, Dr. Ennis graduated from Duke University School of Medicine. He completed his residency at Yale University Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. He completed Fellowship training in adult reconstructive surgery at New England Baptist Hospital in Boston where he performed approximately 650 joint replacement surgeries.
Computer-assisted surgery is the newest generation of technology in joint replacement. Now surgeons can create a visual map of the knee using a highly precise image guidance system that allows the surgeon to see beyond what is possible with the naked eye. With infrared cameras and digitized images, every aspect of the operation is tracked by computer including the surgical instrumentation and ultimately the positioning of the implant. The more precise the alignment of the implant is, the better the patient’s range of motion and long-term results will be.
ONS is committed to providing excellent orthopaedic and neurosurgical care through integrative knowledge, cooperation among personnel and compassion for our patients. By setting the highest of standards, we can confidently offer patients the best options for the best possible outcomes.
